Yogurt Pound Cake

1 c. butter or margarine
3 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. lemon yogurt (or any other flavor)

Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla. Sift flour with baking soda and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to batter alternately with yogurt. Mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff, fold egg whites into batter. Pour into large, greased, and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Invert pan to cool.
