Rhubarb Dessert Cake

5 c. rhubarb
1 (3 oz.) box either raspberry or strawberry gelatin (dry)
1 c. sugar
3 c. miniature marshmallows
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix

Put the rhubarb in the bottom of a buttered 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Over the rhubarb, sprinkle Jello. Over this sprinkle sugar and marshmallows. Set aside. Make up 1 package of cake mix according to package directions. Spoon over the marshmallow layer. Bake the cake for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until tested done. Turn the cake out onto a large plate or onto a large foil. Let the cake cool then serve with whipped cream or whipped topping. Serves 12.
