Pumpkin Cake

3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 c. pumpkin (16 oz.)
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 370 degrees. Grease and flour pan. A Bundt pan works best, but you can use two loaf pans. Sift together the first 7 ingredients and set aside. In a large bowl, mix sugar and oil until blended. Add pumpkin and eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Optional ingredients: Raisins and/or walnuts.
