Pumpkin Cake

1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. pumpkin
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Add cream of tartar, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; then add to first mixture. Add vanilla. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
