High Rising Pound Cake

8 eggs, separated
6 tbsp. sugar
2 sticks margarine
1 c. Crisco
2 3/4 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 c. canned or sweet milk
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Separate eggs, then whip whites until light and fluffy. Add 6 tablespoons sugar as you finish beating. Place in refrigerator until other ingredients are mixed. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together, then add egg yolks one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flour, flavoring and milk, using low speed on mixer. Fold in egg whites. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 hour and 25 minutes.
