1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, yield 1 cup.
