Filling For A Cake

1 heaping c. brown or white sugar
4 or 6 egg yolks
1/2 c. cream
Dash of salt
1/2 c. nuts or more
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter

Boil until thick (brown or white sugar, egg yolks, cream and salt). Add vanilla, butter and nuts.

NOTE: Use brown sugar for topping on devil's food cake and then melted chocolate on top. For white cake put 7 minute frosting over the filling or use between layers on cake. White raisins can be used.
