Big Pound Cake

1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt (if butter is salty, use only 1/2 tsp.)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs slowly. Sift flour, baking powder and salt three times. Add flour and milk, then add flavorings. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl and beat 1 minute. Bake in greased angel food cake pan lined with wax paper. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes at 325 degrees. Let set on rack for 10 minutes after removing from the oven. Eat plain or ice.
