4 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. soda
1 c. Crisco or margarine
1 c. milk

Mix all together. Spread in 2 (9 inch) greased cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
