Spicy Apricot Cake

2 c Sugar
1 c Vegetable oil
3 Eggs
2 (4 oz) jars apricot baby food
2 c Self-rising flour *
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/3 ts Ground cloves
Sifted powdered sugar for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a tube or bundt pan. Beat sugar and oil together. Add eggs, one at a time. Add baby food, one jar at a time. Combine half the flour with cinnamon and cloves and add to mixture, then add remaining flour. Pour into prepared pan and bake 1 hour until cake tests done.

Cool before inverting. Sprinkle with sifted sugar.

* Or 2 cups all-purpose flour plus 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons baking powder
